GOVERNOR ANDREW CUOMO, MAYOR BILL DE BLASIO AND LGBT LEADERS JOIN TO STAND IN SOLIDARITY WITH THE SURVIVORS AND VICTIMS OF THE ORLANDO TERRORIST ATTACK

New York, New York: Governor Andrew Cuomo, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, Stonewall Democrats, and leaders of the New York LGBT community will come together to stand in solidarity with the survivors and the victims of the senseless attack in Orlando. The LGBT community in America and around the world is often the target of hate, but time and again has proven that love conquers hate. We will not run and hide, we will not cower to violence and we will continue to love and fight for full equality for all Americans.

WHEREThe Stonewall Inn, 53 Christopher Street (Between Waverly Place and 7th Avenue South)

WHY: To bring together leaders in the LGBT community to both remember those we lost, and stand with the survivors of this senseless terrorist attack. Additionally, members of the LGBT community will call on Congress to stop standing in the way of reasonable gun control laws.

 

Puerto Rican Day Parade

 

Join Stonewall Democrats of NYC as we march in the Puerto Rican Day Parade this Sunday, June 12!

This year, the parade organizers have dedicated the march to the fight for LGBT equality on the island and SDNYC is proud to join our sisters and brothers in the Puerto Rican community this Sunday. SDNYC will meet at 11am on Sunday (location TBA) and we will join the larger LGBT contingent to march in the parade.
