Choose Your Own Adventure!

The days leading up to Thursday, September 13 are going to rush by.  What will you do to change New York for the better?

From canvassing to phone-banking, from donating money to giving time, from shared posts to retweets: our possible methods to support our endorsed candidates are as varied as the candidates themselves.  As a club, we reach thousands of people who share in the commitment to LGBTQ Equality making our potential for impact incredibly strong when we take action.  So take part in our progress: pick one candidate or pick many, give minutes or hours, but don't sit this one out.  Join on this adventure to equality.  Pick your path:

Support the IDC Challengers:  Our members made it clear with their endorsement vote:  SDNYC supports the candidates running against the IDC.  For too long crucial bills for the LGBTQ community have passed in the Assembly and lingered in the Senate.  Our membership voted to endorse candidates that will move us forward.

Support SDNYC's Melissa Sklarz:  Melissa Sklarz is a former President of SDNYC, but that isn't why we endorsed her in her run for State Assembly.  As a life-long progressive New Yorker and fierce advocate for equality, Melissa Sklarz has dedicated her life to fighting for civil rights protections and justice in New York State. Throughout her career, she has fought to break down barriers and overcome adversity in critical issues including housing, civil rights, women’s reproductive health, and policing.  Melissa has been working for us for years.  Now let's work for her!
