2023 Winter Extravaganza

On Dec 6th, SDNYC invited our friends, members, and allies to come and celebrate the season with us. We had a wonderful time, and can’t wait to get back into action organizing and advocating for the rights, needs, and priorities of the LGBTQ community of NYC.

Statement on Recent Acts of Violence in NYC

In response to recent acts of anti-semitic and anti-muslim violence and hate in New York City, SDNYC unequivocally condemns violence, hate, racism, and xenophobia. With tensions high due to the upsetting and tragic conflict in Israel and Gaza, it is critical that we as New Yorkers continue to practice respect for all people, including those of different religions, ethnicities, national backgrounds, and other differences. As LGBTQ people, we know the harm of discrimination and intolerance, and urge all to practice respect for others, regardless of their opinions, real or perceived identity, or other differences.

Volunteer Days for Pro LGBTQ Candidates this October!

Fall is here, and it's time to get in gear to elect pro-LGBTQ candidates to the City Council all across New York City. The general election is just weeks away - with early voting opening on Oct 28th, and Election Day Nov 7th.
