Statement on Recent Acts of Violence in NYC

In response to recent acts of anti-semitic and anti-muslim violence and hate in New York City, SDNYC unequivocally condemns violence, hate, racism, and xenophobia. With tensions high due to the upsetting and tragic conflict in Israel and Gaza, it is critical that we as New Yorkers continue to practice respect for all people, including those of different religions, ethnicities, national backgrounds, and other differences. As LGBTQ people, we know the harm of discrimination and intolerance, and urge all to practice respect for others, regardless of their opinions, real or perceived identity, or other differences.
