Are you job-hunting?
There is an upcoming exam for a position in the New York State Court System. This is for the Court Office Assistant and Senior Court Office Assistant titles. The deadline to register is Wednesday, April 9.
You have to register for BOTH of the exams separately, though it is one single test with several added questions for those also registered for the Senior Court Office Assistant position. There is a filling fee of $30 for each one, but if you are low-income (unemployed, etc.) you can waive the fees (it says this under the application fees section).
The two jobs start at $28,000 and $35,000 plus in NYC and the nearby counties you get an extra $3500 in location pay. You get the best medical benefits and a very generous pension plan with 50-60% of your final salary as a pension. It's an awesome job.
